I arrived in Australia from China back in 2013 to join a professional team. My purpose was to support the company by providing engineering expertise and focus on creating high-quality designs, equipment, and services to the Australian underground coal mines.
I began my journey with UNITECH in July last year, after applying for an internship position, I hoped to assist/contribute to my Mechanical Engineering Degree. The diversity of this role has done just that! I’ve seen my skills and knowledge grow astronomically, through experience with various industry professionals and their practices as well as the opportunity to utilise industry leading software and equipment.
Further, various ‘hands on’ opportunities in the workshop have provided me with an even deeper understandings of engineering, continuing to grow my skill set as an up-and-coming graduate.
Finally, as I have continued my development within UNITECH, my capabilities to assist and lead in engineering projects has increased further and further. I couldn’t have thought of a better way to kickstart a career in engineering, then with UNITECH! – Ollie Miller
